Indian core oil, since 1967, manufactures various types of foundry chemicals. Being a part of that diecoates are generally water-based lubricants for pressure and gravity die castings of aluminum. Diecoats form lubricating film on the dieface, which acts as a barrier between the molten metal and dieface to avoid erosion. Diecoat also helps in easy stripping of castings from the die. Benefits of the diecoats are - it helps to reduce casting stains, reduces rejections and prevents excessive die temperature.
